CloneOpt is a Swedish bioengineering company. We exploit technologies developed at Stockholm University to optimise expression clones used in protein production. These technologies optimise translation initiation, by synthetically evolving the translation initiation region (TIR) so that it is perfectly matched with the ribosomes of the host cell. CloneOpt TIRs improve the rate-limiting step in protein production, and provide significantly higher yields.
